MD provides a full inhouse VPS server management service. Servers require constant maintenance and monitoring to ensure that they are running properly. Kernels, PHP updates, Perl, Microsoft security patches, service packs, control panels and other applications need to be constantly updated, lest you be the victim of the next internet worm, virus or zero-day exploit.
MD offers three levels of support, based on your skill level, technical knowhow and the amount of support you require every month. Our managed services are priced very competitively, and as demonstrated in our whitepaper on managed servers return on investment is immediate.

How to order
Select the level of Server Management required when ordering your VPS package, or call our support line if you have a package already
Level 1 Support - Basic Management
Level 1 is our most basic support option. This level is for experienced network administrators or server system specialists that do not need any help or support maintaining their system.
We recommend you choose this option only if you have the skills necessary to maintain your own server installation. You will be responsible for all server maintenance, software updates, and security measures.
We do not monitor your configuration and provide only basic support on configuration. Any additional help will be charged at our standard technical support rate of $79.90/hour.
Level 2 Support - Standard Management
Level 2 is our entry level management service, and we recommend all our standard clients take this option. You will receive a full initial configuration and setup to your specs. Your server will then be constantly monitored by our server monitoring tools, and our system admins will inform you of any problems immediately.
We will also update your configuration with security patches, as well as any other updates you request, free of charge (for example, to apache, perl, windows server, php, service packs, control panels, etc). Restarts to essential services or to your virtual server can also be requested at any time.
You receive 1 full hour of extended tech support every month - this is in addition to the time we spend applying security and other patches.
Premium Support - Fully Managed Service
Premium Support is our fully managed service, and is recommended for clients with no experience in configuring software, using control panels or managing their system.
It is also a great tool for businesses and enterprises with no time to learn the intricacies of managing a complex interface, especially those without a dedicated IT department. As the VPS Whitepaper demonstrates, the ROI on taking up a Premium Support is realised very quickly and represents great value for money.
Premium support has all the features of Level 2 support, including a fully managed installation, configuration and security update schedule. However, our techs are a lot more proactive in suggesting and implementing upgrades to your software to suit your specific needs.
With premium support, you receive 3 hours of extended tech support every month in addition to the standard management service. This can include ticketing support, live phone support, scripting requests, complex administration support, management, and even face to face meetings if desired/available. Additional hours can also be purchased after these hours have been exhausted.
