URL Redirect makes a website available under many domains. There are many reasons why you might need a Redirect service.
1. Misspellings - For example, Google registered both google.com, and
googel.com - both domains point to the same website
2. Moving sites - Just like a postal forwarding service when you change
address, a Redirect will let everyone know that you've changed your domain
name or location of your homepage, and move them along to the new domain
address
3. Country specific domains - For example, if you registered myservice.com,
myservice.com.au, and myservice.com.nz, as well as other namespaces such
as myservice.net, and so forth and wanted all of them to redirect to the
same website
Most common application - a simple case study
Most of our customers purchase the same domain in several namespaces (.com, .net, .info, .au, .uk) and so forth to try and protect their online identity. Once someone else registers a domain, it is theirs for the keeping - and, if a competitor manages to register your domain name in a different namespace, your brand or your business could suffer serious damage. That is why we recommend you register your domain in as many namespaces as you can find, and set up redirects to lead them back to your homepage!
