Mozilla thunderbird

1. Open Mozilla Thunderbird
2. Select "File > New > Account" in the top menu.
3. Choose "Email account" and click "Next"
4. Enter your name and email address

         * "Your Name": this field is the name that the recipients of your messages will see in the "From" field, type your 
           name here (i.e. John Smith)
         * "Email Address": type your email address in this blank (i.e. jsmith@domain.com)

5. Click the "Next" button
6. Select "POP" as incoming server
7. "Incoming server" type:

         yourdomain.com (once DNS propagation is complete)
         your server ip address(until DNS propagation) 

To determine which server you are hosted on, on the home page in your account control interface, there is a heading "Hosted on:". This will indicate the server where your files/mail are stored

8. Click the "Next" button

         * "Incoming User Name": type the email address here. (i.e. in the case of jsmith@domain.com, "jsmith@domain.com" is the
           User Name for this mailbox). Click the "Next" button
         * "Outgoing User Name ": the same as Incoming User Name

9. Click the "Next" button
10. "Account name": this gives you a place to type in a title that will be displayed only to you for your E-mail account
11. Click the "Finish" button
12. Select "Tools > Account settings" in the top menu
13. Click on Outgoing Server (SMTP)
14. "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)": type:

         yourdomain.com (if you isp does not block port 20) 
         your_isp_outgoingmailserver.com(if you have errors sending mail using your domain) 

15. Uncheck the box "Use name and password".
16. Select "Never" under "Use secure connection".
17. For spam protection we use a function called "POP before SMTP". Whenever you log in for POP3 mail, the server notes the IP address from which the connection was made and permits to send messages from the IP for a limited time. This simply means: first check for new mail before sending
