 Unscheduled outage for some CPanel customers

Details MD Webhosting's customer service team would like advise of a disruption to some cPanel customers website connection.

Clients hosted on the following servers may experience connectivity issues due to a Denial of Service attack. A denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) or distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack) is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users.

MD Webhosting's customer service team would like advise of a disruption to some cPanel customers website connection.

Clients hosted on the following servers may experience connectivity issues due to a Denial of Service attack. A denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) or distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack) is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users.

Date and Time: 8:30am AEST 16th July 2010

Impact: Customers with hosting accounts on the CPanel machines affected will have experienced outages for Web and Email services. Please note that no mail was lost, as it was queued for delivery upon resolution of the outage.

Update (9:10am AEST 16th July 210): Our system administrators have
isolated the issue and the affected servers are now:

Krypton.websiteactive.com - IP address 202.191.61.5
Koala.websiteactive.com - IP address 202.191.62.252
Mercury.websiteactive.com - IP address 202.191.61.182
