Refunds, Credit and Exchange policy

Terms & Conditions

1.1 If this agreement constitutes a supply of goods or services to a consumer as defined in the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) or any other national, State or Territory legislation (the Acts) nothing contained in this agreement excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty or other obligation in relation to this agreement and the goods and you where to do so is unlawful.

1.2 To the full extent permitted by law, where the benefit of any such condition, warranty or other obligation is conferred upon you pursuant to any of the Acts, our sole liability for breach of any such condition, warranty or other obligation, including any consequential loss which you may sustain or incur, shall be limited (except as otherwise specifically set forth herein) to:
- a. in relation to goods
  - i. the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods or payment of the cost of replacing the goods or acquiring equivalent goods; or
  - ii. the repair of the goods or payment of the cost of having the goods repaired;
- b. in relation to services
  - i. the supplying of the services again; or
  - ii. The payment of the cost of having the services supplied again as in each case we may elect.

1.3 MD does not have to give refunds or credits where a consumer:
- i) changes their mind, decides they do not like the goods or has no use for them; or
- ii) has discovered they can buy the goods more cheaply elsewhere

2.1 There is a 3 calendar day grace period during which a new .au domain name registration can be deleted, or a renewal cancelled, with immediate effect. MD will provide a complete refund for deleted or cancelled domains, as long as a request is received during the grace period.

2.2 All requests must be submitted via the MyAccount interface as a ticket, or via fax on official letterhead. If a request for a refund is received during one of the periods where MD does not provide customer service (as described by clause 10.3 of the Registrant Agreement) then MD will honour the request on the next available day.

2.3 The time of receipt will be derived from the MyAccount server records or from the fax logs as applicable.

2.4 MD will only offer refunds via Direct Deposit, Cheque or Money Order (method chosen is at our discretion).

2.5 Refunds will take no longer than three business days to process. Time to clear will depend on customer's banking arrangements and method of refund.
