Protecting your privacy
Protecting your privacy is fundamental to the way MD Web Hosting does business. We treat very seriously the ongoing trust you have in us to protect your personal information. What we may collect
When you purchase products and services from us, we may collect your name, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, date of birth, mailing address and payment details. When you visit our website, we may record your computer hardware, origin, software types, domain name, access time and the referring web site. All this information is collected anonymously and cannot be used to personally identify you.

The MD website will place a 'cookie' on your computer. This is a small, harmless text file which helps us collect statistical information as set out before. You are free to disable cookies from our website; however, some functionality may be disabled.
How we use your information

Sensitive information, as defined by law, is any information about a person’s racial or ethnic origin, political opinion, membership of a political association, religious beliefs or affiliations, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual preferences or practices, criminal record or health information. If you suspect that we have inadvertently collected any sensitive information, then please contact us and we will destroy it promptly.
Emails and Support Tickets
Your personal details may be included in correspondence such as emails or our support system. This information is stored so we can have a record of your support issues and assist you with problems in the future. It may be necessary to store correspondence for a lengthy period of time where required to do so by law.
Updating your information
It is your responsibility to ensure that the information we have about you is up-to-date and accurate. All our customers can access their personal information in
My Account. If for some reason you cannot update your details in this way, you may contact us and have our staff attend to your matter personally.
Storing your information securely
Your information is kept secured at all times. Only authorised persons in the company are able to modify your details. Paper and electronic records are kept under lock and key in a secure and monitored location. We use other security measures, such as firewalls, codes and passwords to ensure that electronic records are secured. It may be necessary to securely store credit card details on file if your account needs to be re-billed at a later date. These details are encrypted against hacking and unauthorized access. We will destroy personal information if we no longer need it for the purpose for which we collected it, or to satisfy legal requirements. This includes all hard-copy documents which may contain your information and other electronic records.

We use SSL encryption to protect your information whenever you make an order with our website. Look for a gold padlock in your browser to ensure that the transmission has been secured.
