24x7x365 Phone Support
After much planning MD Web Hosting has reintroduced 24x7x365 Phone Support! Please, feel free to call us any time of the day or night for any Support, Billing and Sales enquiries. Our goal is to provide you with minimal waiting times and speedy support resolution.
There was a lot of confusion surrounding our number change - for your reference, the only number you need to remember is 1300 734 660. All previous MD numbers are no longer active and will not route to our call center.
End of Financial Year specials
To celebrate the end of Financial Year, we have come out with an amazing Special for our existing customers:
Any existing hosting plan can upgrade to the next plan and receive 50% off the difference when paid annually! If you are mid-way through a billing term we can even pro-rata the difference.
(If you are on Budget or Email plan then the next upgrade would be a Dingo or Home package).
Example 1: Joe has a monthly Dingo hosting package. He can upgrade to an annual Kangaroo package: Instead of paying $238.80, he will be charged $178.80, saving $60!
Example 2: Sue is six months through a Bargain plan. She can upgrade to a Dingo hosting package for the next 6 months, and expect to pay only $17.47 upfront!
To upgrade? We have also made an easy-to-use Upgrade Form available on our website. Please use the same email that we have listed in your MyAccount contact details. Alternatively, submit a ticket via your MyAccount.
Australian Network Upgrades
We are almost finished rolling out Phase 1 of our Australian network upgrade. 2 new clustered, failover Cisco firewalls will help protect the stability and integrity of the network. We hope to roll the new network components out within the next seven days; downtime should be minimal and the upgrade will be performed outside of business hours.
Phase 2 will involve the installation of a 3rd independent network link and an additional production Cisco Router to add extra resiliency and performance. We expect to complete this Phase in the next 60 days.
Server Migrations
This month we have migrated 6 servers (Phobos, Mercury, Saturn, Tardis, Pluto and Redgiant) to new hardware. MD has been committed to replacing all aging server hardware with modern equipment. The migration schedule is almost complete and we thank you for your patience.
As part of the server migrations you may experience a change in the environment, most likely the PHP or MySQL version on your server. Please notify our support team if you experience compatability issues with your old code or files.
Coming Soon
Our new website is coming together as we speak. To celebrate, we will be releasing some new packages and products - if you are on an existing plan you will be invited to upgrade. We are very excited about the new plans - we guarantee that some of the new features will raise the bar on Australian hosting.
